On August 16, 2025, the Vancouver Pak Mei Martial Arts Association held its 53rd Anniversary Gala and the inauguration of its fifth committee. This event brought together renowned martial arts masters from various schools to witness the legacy and development of traditional martial arts.
At this solemn and festive moment, Master Shi Xing Wu was invited to attend and brought his disciples to perform wonderful Chinese Kung Fu, including the vigorous collective knife and shield the flexible and swift Seven Star Fist, and Master Shi Xingwu’s interpretation of the Pu sword. In each smooth move, he demonstrated the essence and profound heritage of Chinese martial arts, which won rounds of applause from the audience and received a warm response.
As one of the important Canadian martial arts organization, the Vancouver Pak Mei Martial Arts Association has been dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese martial arts for 53 years, actively fostering the flourishing of martial arts and the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. This grand event serves not only as a retrospective of past glories but also as a look toward future heritage.
Master Shi Xing Wu also stated at the event,
“Martial arts is not only a way to strengthen the body, but also a bridge for cultivating the mind and promoting culture. The Vancouver Pak Mei Association has been able to continue to host such martial arts events for decades, providing such a platform for various martial arts schools to communicate and learn from each other. This is a very meaningful thing. I also hope that Chinese martial arts will take root around the world and benefit the public.”
