On September 8, 2025, the abbot of Xing Wu Zen Temple, Venerable Xing Wu, led his disciples and volunteers to donate a batch of loving food to the Richmond Food Bank.

This heartwarming act of kindness not only perpetuates the spirit of compassionate Zen but also upholds the principle of altruism.

Since becoming a registered Canadian federal charity in 2022, Xing Wu Zen Temple has consistently dedicated itself to the common good, benefiting all. For many years, the following have been observed: -
Donate food to food banks regularly to help families in need tide over the difficulties; -
For four consecutive years, the Suxin Charity Dinner and the Zen Realm stage play have been held, Combine the beauty of art with compassion; -
We provide free health and meditation courses to the public every month to help harmonize the body and mind and gaining wisdom. -
We organize volunteer teams to actively serve the community and spare no effort to promote and spread traditional culture.

Service and Event Information
The Richmond Food Bank provides people in need with access to food and services necessary to maintain physical and mental health. Every week, the Richmond Food Bank delivers healthy and nutritionally balanced meals to more than 1,400 people, providing Richmond residents with healthy food choices and access to relevant services to address the causes of poverty.
