Despite the cold winter at the end of the year, warmth remains. During Christmas and New Year, grand master Shi Xing Wu led his disciples and volunteers to Richmond Food Bank to donate a batch of food, showing their care for the community and giving back to society through practical actions, putting compassion into practice in the present moment.

Every serving of food carries care and blessings; every act of kindness brings warmth to people’s hearts. This batch of donated food will provide tangible assistance to families in need and add a touch of warmth to the cold winter days.

Grand master Shi Xing Wu stated that spiritual practice is inseparable from daily life, and the essence of Buddhism lies in its practical application. Each donation is not merely material support, but also an integration of the Buddhist principles of “loving-kindness, altruism, and universal compassion” into daily life. By treating others with compassion and performing good deeds, we allow kindness to flow naturally within the community, and for warmth and hope to be continuously transmitted throughout society.

May this act of kindness transform into light and warmth, comforting hearts and benefiting the community. May the new year bring continuous good fortune, increased wisdom and blessings, and compassionate altruism.

Let’s spread love and kindness together

The power of charity requires everyone’s participation. We sincerely invite more kind-hearted individuals to join hands with Xing Wu Zen  Temple to spread love and kindness to more people.
