On the evening of October 10, 2026, the large-scale original stage play “Zen Realm” and the 2026 Suxin Charity Gala Dinner banquet were held at the River Rock Theatre in Richmond. Amidst enthusiastic applause and emotion, this cultural feast that blended traditional Chinese culture, stage art, and charitable causes came to a successful close.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year of the original stage play “Zen Realm”. For five years, Xing Wu Zen Temple has remained true to its original aspiration and cultivated its craft with dedication. From cultural inheritance to artistic innovation, from stage presentation to charitable practice, “Zen Realm” has continuously explored new paths for the dissemination and development of outstanding traditional Chinese culture overseas, conveying Eastern wisdom through the beauty of art and gathering love through compassion.
This year’s “Zen Realm” has been further improved in stage production and artistic presentation, cleverly integrating Chinese mythology, traditional aesthetics and Zen philosophy into the stage narrative. With a magnificent stage visual and dazzling light and shadow effects, it creates a multi-layered and profound artistic space for the audience.
From visual spectacle to emotional resonance, from the spirit of Chinese martial arts to the graceful charm of traditional dance, the entire performance consistently conveyed Eastern wisdom through the beauty of art. It showcased the profound heritage and unique charm of outstanding traditional Chinese culture, demonstrating the power of art to transcend language and national boundaries, allowing ancient Eastern civilization to radiate new vitality through modern artistic expression. This is precisely the original aspiration that “Zen Realm” has always upheld: to bring culture out of the halls, to connect hearts with art, and to let the world see the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
The gala’s hosting team consisted of Han Aitong from the Vancouver Drama Troupe, along with junior hosts from the Vancouver Drama Troupe’s (VMDS) Youth Arts Troupe: Liu Shuyou, Wu Yifan, Fan Wenxuan, and Wang Zehan, and foreign host Deniz Si’naki (Dahai).

Love knows no boundaries, compassion transcends religions, kindness knows no bounds, and every act of giving has power. Every act of love is worth cherishing, and every good deed is precious and powerful. Regardless of the amount donated, as long as one harbors good intentions, gives sincerely, and is willing to spread warmth to society and add kindness and beauty to the world, it is all a good deed.
Venerable Shi Xing Wu presented the Goodwill Ambassadors, Blessing Ribbons, and Lotus Trophies to recognize the support and patronage of Xing Wu Zen Temple by people from all walks of life.
